2024 Community Summit

A wonderful in-person educational summit for the type 1 diabetes community held in Auburn, WA this summer!
Participants had a great opportunity to learn about advancements in research, engage in discussions with experts, interact with diabetes vendors, and connect with others who are living with or affected by T1D in Washington state.
An impressive lineup of guest speakers delivered presentations to the audience, including Dr. Irl B. Hirsch, the Medical Director of the Diabetes Care Center at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and Dr. Frances E. Broyles, the Medical Director at Rainier Clinical Research Center located in Renton, WA.

2024 Washington Special Olympics
Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center, June 8, 2024
This event is all about sports competition for children and adults with disabilities, featuring a range of Olympic-style sports. It provides continuous opportunities to boost physical fitness, showcase courage, have fun, and bond with family, fellow Special Olympics athletes, and the larger community through shared skills and friendships.

Beat the Bridge
May 19th, 2024, Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
From the organizer: "Congratulations, we did it! Because of Type 1 Together Initiative, we raised over $1.33 million for the 42nd Annual Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes! Thank you for your incredible support and the impact you have made to help turn type one into type none."

T1TI alone raised $2,880 during this event!

2023 Beat the Bridge
May 21st 2023
We proudly raised $783 for Beat the Bridge, an annual event hosted by JDRF (now BeyondT1D) to raise money for critical diabetes research.
We also helped clean up the stadium after the event. We're glad to contribute to turning type one into type none.

2022 Beat the Bridge

The 40th Anniversary of Beat the Bridge was a huge success! Over 4,200 people took part, with 351 teams joining in. T1D champions and volunteers came together to raise an incredible $1.4 million for groundbreaking research in type 1 diabetes (T1D).​
